Photo Friday

I love wedding photos so each Friday I am going to feature one (or two) that I have found throughout the week that I just love. I am going to try to feature local photographers for two reasons:

1. We have so many great photographers in Knoxville they deserved to be recognized
2. When you see something that you love too you can actually meet with the photographer that did it (unless you aren't from Knoxville of course but e-mail me (kristyn {at} panacheconsulting {dot} com) and I can help find someone in your area that has similar style!)

This week I picked two photos from a wedding that I had the privilege of being an assistant for Sonya Scott of A Perfect Day. The photographer was Bill Waldorf of Waldorf Photographic Art. I picked these photos to start with because Lauren and Ryan are a true couple in love and they were as sweet as can be(plus I think the pics are gorgeous!).

Don't Trash It, Donate It

Trashing the dress has become quite popular. Sure you can get some really great pictures but there is a better way to send your dress off in style. Brides Against Breast Cancer accepts donations of new and used gowns to be sold to future brides to raise money for the Making Memories Breast Cancer Foundation. Making Memories grants wishes for women with terminal breast cancer.

If you haven't found your dress yet you should check out the dress sales. More than half of the gowns for sale are NEW designer gowns that have been donated by the designers, manufacturers and bridal salons and all are discounted.

Upcoming Linen Trends

One of the speakers at "An Evening with Preston Bailey" was Bill Pry from BBJ Linens and he spoke on the upcoming trends in linen. Here are some great ideas for your event.

This is the Asian Garden Table Linen. It is reversible and absolutely goregous in person.






Green is a hot color for fall and here is the Fern Traditional Damask table linen.











Which you could pair with another hot color for fall -- purple. This is the Purple Smoke Bichon.











Or you could pair either with a gray like Silver Crush.











And Silver Crush would look great with Rust Classic.

Missing the beach but glad to be home!

We got in late last night from our end of summer beach trip. It was probably the most relaxing vacation I have ever been on. The weather was perfect -- hot and sunny the first couple of days, cool and stormy the last two days. I don't know about you but I LOVE storms on the beach.

This was our daughter's second trip to the beach but last time she was only three months old(She will be 15 months old tomorrow). She had an absolute blast! She learned how to say beach and water and couldn't wait to get in the lazy river after every nap!

Panache is getting a little makeover starting with our new logo which you can see in the top left corner. We are getting ready for some big new things around here and are really excited. Our website will also be getting a makeover which should be up in a couple of weeks.

Going to the beach!

I am leaving for the beach Sunday so I probably wont be posting while I am gone. I am bringing my laptop though so you never know. I will post some tips from the Preston Bailey event when I get back like I promised. It has been a little crazy around here since I got back.

My brother-in-law is getting married tomorrow! (Finally!) So, I want to give a shout out to Brian and Crystal and say congrats!

I am sitting in my hotel in Birmingham after a great night spent with Preston Bailey! He showed how he transformed huge empty spaces into amazing floral wonderlands. After his presentation he answered all our questions. It was a great night. I am really excited to get home and get to work. I am really inspired. I will post some pictures when I get back.

Midnight Blue and Clover Green

For the those that are not familiar this is a story board(also known as mood boards). Story boards are meant to help spark your creativity or to be a guide for a specific event that is being planned. You can make them offline as well with fabric swatches, paint chips, magazine photos, etc.

This color combo is a great pick for fall because the colors are really rich.

Wedding websites are a great way to get out info about your wedding to everyone at once. They are also a great way to let people know how you met, when you decided to get married, and give general news and updates. There are a lot of different sites where you can get a wedding website. I like WeddingWindow.com because it has a ton of features that you can't find on the other pages. There are 40 different pages that you can include and you can also track RSVPs. Some other great features the site has:
